BESTOLIFE® 2000® is a lead-free, zinc-free thread compound formulated for casing, tubing, and line pipe applications. Stable under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, it delivers excellent running performance and superior protection for long-term storage.
The major solid components are a proprietary blend of inert nonmetallic materials, resistant to chemical attack in sour gas environments and CO₂ injection. BESTOLIFE 2000® meets or exceeds the performance objectives outlined in API RP 5A3 / ISO 13678 and addresses common concerns in pipe yards and threading operations, such as rejects due to pitting and corrosion. In a 700-hour salt fog spray test, it outperformed the leading storage compound in the industry.
BESTOLIFE 2000® conforms to API RP 5A3 requirements for evaporation, gas evolution, oil separation, water leaching, copper corrosion, and cold application at 19.4°F (–7°C).
