All-Purpose Copper-Based Thread Compound for Drill Pipe, Drill Collars, Casing, and Tubing
BESTOLIFE® Cal Bronze (CB) is a high-performance copper/lead/zinc-based thread compound formulated for rotary-shouldered connections, casing, and tubing. Designed for demanding drilling environments, it provides reliable protection against galling, seizing, and corrosion in high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.
This economical compound is ideal for light to medium duty drilling operations and is recommended for use on drill collars, drill pipe, and casing connections. Its finely powdered metallic and nonmetallic additives absorb stress and enhance performance in rugged, corrosive conditions. Cal Bronze also contains H₂S and corrosion inhibitors for added durability.
BESTOLIFE recommends applying 10–15% more torque than the minimum values specified by API and IADC tables to ensure maximum protection and performance.
