BESTOLIFE® Copr 99 is a lead-free, zinc-free copper/PTFE thread compound formulated for rotary-shouldered connections. It provides excellent protection against galling and seizing, while supporting high bearing stress in demanding drilling environments. The compound applies easily across a wide range of temperatures and conditions, resists washout, and maintains stability in storage without hardening or excessive bleeding.
Copr 99 meets or exceeds environmental restrictions and exposure concerns related to lead and zinc-based compounds. It contains copper flake combined with a proprietary blend of graphite and other solids in a high-quality lubricating base grease. For optimal performance, BESTOLIFE recommends applying 10–15% additional torque beyond the minimum values specified in API and IADC tables for drill collars and drill pipe.
