BESTOLIFE® 2000® NM is a non-metallic alternative to API Modified thread compounds, conforming to API RP 5A3 / ISO 13678. Designed for both running and storage applications, it offers high-temperature performance, chemical resistance, and long-term corrosion protection for casing, tubing, and line pipe.
Extensive testing—including a 700-hour salt fog spray test—has shown that the base grease and additive package in 2000® NM provides corrosion protection that exceeds the performance of leading storage compounds. It also meets the requirements of API Specification 5CT, addressing a major concern in pipe yards and threading operations: rejects due to pitting and corrosion. These results confirm that 2000® NM is not only an excellent running compound but also a reliable solution for long-term storage.
